Tree plantation in Brunei marking Bangabandhu’s birth centenary

A tree plantation progrmme has been held in Brunei marking the Birth Centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Bangladesh’s Golden Jubilee of Independence.
Bangladesh High Commission in Brunei in collaboration with the Department of Forest of Brunei Darussalam organized the program in Bandar Seri Begawan on Thursday, a foreign ministry’s press release said on Friday.
Brunei’s Primary Resources and Tourism minister Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali Bin Apong was present as the guest of honor while Bangladesh High Commissioner to Brunei Nahida Rahman Shumona chaired the event.
A total of 101 saplings of 41 Ru Runag, 59 Ubah and 01 Neem trees were planted on the occasion.
