A Priest has been killed by gunmen on his way to home from a church in Pakistan's northwestern city of Peshawar. No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. This information was given by Express.uk on Monday.

Police said a gunman killed the priest and wounded his colleague on Sunday as he was walking home from a church in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar.

According to church authorities, a car carrying Pastor Siraj and his colleague Rev. Patrick Naeem arrived in the Chamkani area of Peshawar and the attackers open fired. The pastor was killed and the Rev wounded.

Azad Marshall, the most senior bishop of the Protestant church, has condemned the killings. In a tweet, he demanded justice for the incident and called on the Pakistani government to protect Christians.

The northwestern border of Pakistan is adjacent to Afghanistan. Militant attacks on security forces have increased in the region in recent times. The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), an ally of the Afghan Taliban, has claimed responsibility for most of the attacks.
