The condition of singer Beauty Khan, who was seriously injured when she was hit by a lorry on her way to a concert in Cox’s Bazar, is said to be critical. She was admitted to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH).

Beauty and her choir got in an accident in the Mirsarai area of ​​Chattogram on Saturday (March 13) morning on their way to Cox’s Bazar. The horrific accident took place when a lorry coming from the opposite direction hit their microbus.

Drummer Partho Pratim Guha lost his life on the spot. Hanif, an Octapad player, died after being taken to CMCH hospital.

Meanwhile, Imran, who was also injured in the incident, said he and singer Kona were in the same show in Chandpur, however, they could not meet due to time lagging. On his way back to Dhaka at night, Hanif joined with them and Partho near the Meghna Bridge and left for Cox’s Bazar, he told reporters. 

“Such deaths are not really acceptable! It was a huge loss for our music industry.”

Imran added that the two late musicians played with him during the 2008 Shera Kontho competition.

Hanif Ahmed and Partho Pratim Guha both live in Cumilla. For more than two decades, they have played instruments with countless artists of different generations in the country.
