Saudi reduces Hajj-Umrah visa fee

Saudi Arabia has reduced all visa fees for travelers including Hajj and Umrah. Earlier, the visa fee was 2,000 Saudi riyals, the new law reduced it to only 300 real.

At the same time, the visa fees that were required to be paid to Omaha several times were also canceled. Tourists and transport travelers will also benefit.

The decision was made to restructure the visa system at a meeting of the cabinet of the country, a Saudi Gazette report said on Thursday.

According to the report, in the previous law, people had to pay 2,000 Saudi riyals for three years for the pilgrimage to Omaha visa fees. Due to the new law, it is no longer effective. Tourists and transport travelers will be also benefitted.

Another press release recently released a list of cabinet decisions on the type and duration of the visa.

Minister for Hajj and Umrah Affairs Muhammed Benten and chairman of the guest service program committee have expressed their gratitude to Saudi King Salman and Prince Mohammed bin Salman issuing a royal decree on the new law.

However, no details were available as to when the decision would be effective. The new visa fee is expected to be effective from this month. This will allow citizens of different countries, including Bangladesh, to travel to Saudi Arabia at a lower cost than before.
