PK Haldar`s aids Ujjwal, Rashedul on 5-day remand
A Dhaka court today placed Ujjwal Kumar Nandi and Rashedul Haque, two close aides of fugitive Prashant Kumar Haldar, on a five days remand in a money laundering case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM Imrul Kayes passed the order after Ujjwal Kumar Nandi, former chairman of People's Leasing, and Rashedul Haque, managing director of International Leasing were produced before the court by the investigation officer of the case on Monday.
A team led by ACC Deputy Director Gulshan Anwar arrested them from Capital's Segunbagicha area on Sunday afternoon.
The case alleges that the concerned officials and members of International Leasing and Financial Services Limited embezzled Tk 350.99 crore in the name of a fake company.
