FB TV honors eminent personalities in NY
Florida Bangla Television has celebrated its second anniversary through a reception event to recognize eminent personalities for their outstanding contributions to various fields in New York, United States.
Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim was the chief guest at the special function titled "Virtual Alor Jharnadhara" on Monday night.
Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra's vocalists Rathindranath Roy and Shahid Hasan were given lifetime achievement honors. In addition to Florida's other individual organizations, Boynton Beach City Mayor Steven Grant and Broward County Mayor Dale Holness were also honored for their outstanding contributions.
The two artists welcomed the initiative in a video message. Rathindranath Roy said, "Everyone must always work actively to spread the glorious history and heritage of Bangladesh worldwide."
Speaking on the occasion, Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim expressed his hope that the television will positively present Bangladesh to foreign nations. Bangladesh's history, language, culture, and heritage will be spread among the next generation." Sheikh Hasina's government has taken various positive initiatives for the welfare of expatriates. Various opportunities have been provided for the expatriates to invest in Bangladesh, the minister added.
Actress and reciter Lutfun Nahar Lata from New York, journalist and community activist Tofazzal Liton, educationist professor Rana Ahmed, recitation artist Gopan Saha, community activist Muhammad Ali Babul, immigration and tax expert Mia Zakir, music artist Tami Zakaria, Asp Career Consulting Firm CEO Aktaroj Zaman among others were honored.
The program was presided over by the CEO of the television, Teton Malik, director of the company, Awlad Hawlader was also present.
Shahid Hasan, Pappu Ahmed, and Labni performed the music in the program conducted by Shamim Al Amin, Editor-in-Chief and Writer of FB TV.
